Tom graduated from London’s Camberwell School of Art with a First class honours degree in Silversmithing and Metalwork.
In 1997 Tom was awarded a much-coveted Crafts Council grant and established his first London studio in Limehouse, East London. It was here that he began designing and producing one-off and batch produced lights- experimenting with a diverse range of materials and techniques. Silversmithing influenced his intricate manual process and high-level discipline in contemporary lighting design.
His work has been recognised and displayed globally, being profiled at international designs shows including Decorex and the ICFF in New York, as well as, publications such as Designing the 21st Century.
Today Tom Kirk's collections are designed and produced in Dulwich, South London, and continues to attract an international audience.
