The Pira G2, unveiled at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2023, is an evolution of a shelving unit designed by the Swedish architect Olle Pira for the H55 exhibition in 1955.
While the Pira G2 draws inspiration from the original design, von Schewen and Dahlström have infused it with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. They have steered clear of retro stylings, instead embracing the original design concept while blending modern materials with subtle nods to the 1950s.
Central to the Pira G2's design is its pole, which enables an independently standing floor-to-ceiling tensioned shelf system. The shelves seamlessly intertwine with the poles, creating a unified structure within the modular system and a functional and striking visual presence.

The poles are made of extruded aluminium in black grey or white.
The shelves are made of sheet steel and feature an integral ridge.
Cabinets and organisers in walnut or white oak.
The shelves have a 50kg load.
