Aurélien Barbry is a French designer with a flair for functionality and elegant minimalism. His industrial and interior works stemmed from his studies in Paris at the Ecole Camondo but equally by working closely with the architect Jean Nouvel.
He states of his practise. "Design is an exercise where you take the simplest things in your daily life and ask yourself how they could be done differently. I want to move objects towards simplicity and obviousness of the form so it becomes dialogue with the end-user. Reinstate everyday forms, simple and accurate."
Barbry has collaborated with international manufacturers including, Georg Jensen, Menu, Normann Copenhagen and HAY, as well as many more.
