David Chipperfield

David Chipperfield founded his architecture practice in 1985. It is now a global practice with offices spread across the world in Shanghai, Milan, Berlin and London. 

His architectural designs are characterised by attention to detail, where structures are created with a focus on the social aspect of its use. Utilising intelligent design methods to create spaces which suit their use and users. His major projects include the Procuratie Vecchie in the Piazza San Marco, Venice, The Royal Academy of Arts masterplan, London and the Neues Museum in Berlin. His work was awarded the RIBA's Gold Medal for Architecture to recognise his illustrious career.
