Emma Olbers
Emma Olberg grew up on a farm outside Gothenburg. At 20 she moved to Stockholm to begin Nyckelviksskolan, an annual craft training.
In 1994 she started at Beckmans School of Design. The Beckman period ended with a show where she exhibited ground plates, a slide-projector-table and a small series of coffee glasses, which were rewarded with the magazine Svensk Forms price 'the yearly talent'.
She went straight on to working at Ikea’s design department for one year, then at Thomas Eriksson’s architectural office in Stockholm. In 1999 she opened her own studio.
In 2009 she attended a course at the Sustainable Fashion Academy. Emma is very committed to sustainability and tries to incorporate her environmental philosophy in her daily work, without sacrificing form and function.
