Fabio Bortolani was born in Modena, Italy. He studied architecture in Florence, where he gained a degree.
Between 1985-78 Fabio worked at Cesare Leonardi’s studio. Fabio has worked on numerous public and private projects including designing for Alessi, Authentics, Driade, Elmes and Serralunga. His 'Segreta' stool/ladder manufactured by Driade is part of the permanent exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
With Lapalma, Fabio Bortolani designed and created the GIRO stool an industrial and modern bar stool. He also designed the ALBERO and CONTINUUM stools.
