Herman Miller

In 1923 Herman Miller helped his son-in-law,  D.J. De Pree, buy the Michigan Star Funiture Company. De Pree went on to name the company after his father-in-law.

During the mid-twentieth century, the name Herman Miller quickly became synonymous with 'modern' furniture. The company was working with designers such as George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames and producing pieces that have become icons of design.

Over the years Herman Miller has collaborated with some of the most outstanding designers in the world, including Alexander Girard, Isamu Noguchi, Robert Propst, Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick.

Herman Miller is a recognised innovator in contemporary furnishings, solutions for healthcare environments and related technologies and services.
