Race Furniture
Race designed progressive and enduring furniture. His work was critically acclaimed and awarded. Over a short time frame, Ernest Race embraced formed plywood and solid wood seating, cast recycled aluminium, organic, flowing upholstery designs and skeletal steel rod structures. The Antelope is possibly Race’s most familiar design, now synonymous with the Festival of Britain.
