GE 240 Easy chair, 1955

GE 240 Easy chair by Hans Wegner for Getama.

Hans Wegner began working with Getama over 60 years ago, and their collaboration produced many classic designs that continue to be manufactured to this day.

Wegner designed the GE 240 Easy chair, also known as the ‘Cigar chair’ in 1955. The name derives from the unique shape of the armrests which have a likeness to the form of a cigar. Due to its continued popularity, Getama has put this model back into production.

The GE 240 is a classic minimalist Danish design featuring a tapered solid oak frame. Its tilted back and wide armrest make for a practical and comfortable seat.

Please note, pricing is for the cushions with the same piping. For contrasting leather piping and buttons, please enquire.
