Model 1063 floor light, 1954/2013
Model 1063 floor light by Gino Sarfatti for Astep.
A true avant-garde piece when it was first designed in 1954 by Gino Sarfatti, the first Model 1063 floor lamp featured an exposed light source in the form of a fluorescent tubular bulb. The design has been revived with an energy-efficient LED module with variable temperature regulation and dimmer function in the new Model 1063 floor lamp.
The 1063 lamp features a slender black or white painted aluminium tube that houses the LED module. An aluminium box that houses the power supply is connected to the tube with two steel rods arranged in a unique way, balancing the entire structure.
