Ex-display items have some signs of use and we recommend a detailed condition report prior to purchase.
This item is a one-off ex-display item to be sold on a first order, first served basis.
Originally unveiled at the 1951 Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition, Ib Kofod-Larsen’s Knitting Chair quickly became an icon of Danish innovation and craftsmanship as a result of its ergonomic comfort and sculptural design.
In 2025, Audo Copenhagen launched the seat in a new edition as part of their Everyday Icons collection; a collection which reimagines timeless designs in contemporary materials and finishes, making them more accessible to a new generation.
This updated design keeps the defining characteristics of the original chair; an exposed triangular frame, gently curved seat and back, and signature elbow cut-outs that make it perfect for activities like reading or knitting, but in a black lacquered oak which showcases its rich wood grain while highlighting its distinctive form.
