A true Danish design classic produced in Denmark since 1936, the Shoemaker Chair continues to be crafted in a local Danish joinery. The Werner family have continuously optimised the chair over the years, re-shaping the seat to ensure comfort and adding t-legs for stability.
The current form of the Shoemaker Chair features an anatomically curved seat rendered from a single piece of solid wood, each displaying a unique wood grain. While it may appear a visually uncomplicated design, the chair is technically difficult to construct with each stool finished by hand.
The height of the Shoemaker No. 49 makes the functional seat easy to move around the house, ideal for an extra seat at the dining table.
