Turbo Pendant
Turbo Pendant by Louis Weisdorf for Gubi.
Designed in 1965 and first produced in 1967, Louis Weisdorf's Turbo Pendant has achieved great success for decades. Simple in form yet unique and complex in structure, the pendant is both light and strong.
The design of the sculptural pendant was inspired by the lightness of the Japanese rice paper with Weisdorf transforming it into a more durable and sturdy version of the traditional lamp. The outer curve of the lamp is made of twelve similar spiral lamellae, that form a flower-like globe that shields the light.
The pendant is the perfect example of Weisdorf's passion for using multiple repeating elements that can be seen in most of his works. Available in two different sizes.
