Leva chair by Foster + Partners for Mattiazzi.
For their first timber chair design, Foster + Partners took inspiration from the form of an oar and applied it to the silhouette of the Leva chair. The design is ergonomic, the arms are made of a single piece of machined timber, curved at the back to provide a protective backrest. The simple shape of the chair encourages little use of its material, a sustainable approach of creating.
