To mark Louis Poulsen's 150th Anniversary, the Danish brand has introduced a special edition of the iconic Snowball pendant. For the first time since it was designed in 1958, the distinctive light is available in a new finish: a subtle pale rose with a glossy brass frame.
The Snowball Pendant was first exhibited at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art (now known as Design Museum Denmark) in an exhibition titled Glass, Light and Colour. At its launch, it received little commercial success and remained out of production until it was reintroduced to the market in 1983.
It was designed by Poul Henningsen, who created innovative lights that provided direct light where it was most needed while remaining glare-free.
The new colour palette was inspired by the rosy hue of Poul Henningsens's original PH Artichoke, also designed in 1958.
Every purchase of the limited edition PH Snowball will include the new Louis Poulsen book, First House of Light, published by Phaidon in July 2024.

Materials
The limited edition PH Snowball Pendant has shades made from spun aluminium, a frame in polished metallised brass.
Bulb: 1 x 70W E27 bulb (not included).
All Anniversary edition PH Snowballs will be engraved on the white side (outside) and given an individual edition number.
