Rooted in a painstaking analysis of the reflective qualities of light, Poul Henningsen's PH 5 light is recognised as a classic of Danish design and is notable for its innovative glare-free form and uniform illumination.
Henningsen developed the PH 5 pendant light in 1958 in response to constant changes to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs by bulb manufacturers. Irrespective of how the light is installed or the light source used, the PH 5 is completely glare-free, as a result of Henningsen's ingenious three-shade system. The light derives its name from the 50cm diameter of the shade. A reduced version of the original, the PH 5 Mini has a diameter of 30cm.
The PH 5 mini is available in ten colour combinations which feature the main colour and a contrasting shade applied to the underside of the internal anti-glare disk. These are: Polished brass, copper, classic white, and modern white are finished with matt powder coating. Hues of Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Rose have a matt painted finish.
Note: Blue anti-glare disc with the White Classic and Hues of Orange. Green anti-glare disc for Hues of Red and Rose. Red anti-glare disc for Hues of Green and Blue. Rose anti-glare disc for HUes of Grey and Modern White. Copper anti-glare disc for Copper version. Brass anti-glare disc for Brass version. The copper and brass surface are untreated. This changes the surfaces over time and develops a patina. The process may have already begun before the product gets delivered.
Supplied with ceiling cone and 3m white textile cable.

Materials
The shade and reflectors are made of spun aluminium, spun copper or spun brass.
Struts come in bronze for all finishes a part from classic white. Classic white struts are in purple.
Light source: 1x20W E14 bulb (not included). IP 20 rating.
