Michael Anastassiades has trained in Civil Engineering at Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine and has a masters Degree in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art in London.
After working freelance with various renowned Design practices he set up his own studio in 1994. Since then, he has been exploring contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. Playfully positioned between fine Art and Design his unique, yet discreet work seeks to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction out of what would normally be a series of, inanimate, mundane utilitarian objects.
