Mikael Nilsson has produced a miniature version of his perennially popular crow wooden sculptures. Despite its reduced stature, the Mini crow captures the essential personality of this most characterful and intelligent of native birds.
Each wooden crow is unique, hand-carved with an axe and a knife and made from black-stained lime wood.
Born in Linkoping, Sweden, in 1972, Mikael studied Handicraft and Culture at Linkopings University. Of his crow sculptures he says, “I try to give each figure a personality, express a feeling, motion, gesture. I make crows because I like them and would like to have a real one as a friend.”
