Written by Rolf and Mette Hay, the founders of the brand, the book is edited by Kelsey Keith, the editorial director at Herman Miller. It features a foreword by John Hoke III, the Chief Design Officer at Nike. The book also features contributions from Lucy Bourton, Duncan Riches, Emily Nathan and Tom Morris. The book explores the brand's origins and its rise to the forefront of the design world. The book examines its close partnership with Herman Miller and its collaborations with an ever-growing list of brilliant designers and design companies such as COS, IKEA, and SONOS.

Published to coincide with HAY's 20th anniversary, the book features exclusive interviews with five pairs of designers: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec; Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien; Shane Schneck and Clara von Zweigbergk; Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen; and Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi.

Designed by Clara von Zweigbergk, the 240-page hardbound book comes with 300 beautiful illustrations and 600 beautiful images.
