Untreated wood can be affected by grease and colourants. Therefore, it is recommended that you saturate it with furniture oil or soap to make it more resistant. The colour of the wood will change once oil or soap is applied. If you wish to leave the wood untreated you can clean it by using a suitable wood cleaning agent.
