Elephant Limited Edition Print
Elephant limited edition print by Nathalie du Pasquier for The Wrong Shop.
Nathalie du Pasquier's 2019 limited edition print, Elephant, is presented in an edition of 35, each numbered, stamped and embossed by the artist.
The collection of four prints feature du Pasquier's signature abstract constructions and arresting use of colour.
The print is created using a UV printing process that utilises an ultraviolet curing technology. A modified pigment is exposed to ultraviolet light, causing the ink to dry quickly, allowing for sharper detail.
‘For this new collection, I wanted to do a series that was dry and hard-edged. I wanted to do vectorial prints with the ink appearing as shiny flat surface sitting onto the paper. Using a paper with a traditional hand made structure and texture to clearly define the printing process’.
A founder member of the Memphis group, French-born artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier has been based in Milan since 1979. She has focused primarily on painting since the late 1980s, producing a body of work which explores constructed architectural forms that can only exist in two dimensions.
Framed by The Wrong Shop in bespoke frames made of European oak with an elegantly tapered edge and a matt lacquer finish.
