The Tiipot is a stainless steel teapot inspired by the durable, stainless steel tableware found in kitchens across India.
Although a material more traditionally associated with coffee makers, Tiipoi has used the stainless steel to resolve issues commonly associated with a teapot. The design features a drip-free spout, locking lid, inbuilt filter and heat-resistant bakerlite handle.
The elegant tapered shape makes it easy to pour and can brew up to six cups of tea. Designed in London and made by hand in a family-owned workshop in Moradabad, using a traditional metal spinning process.
The East London-based studio work with small-scale workshops, independent craftsmen and makers, creating a design that brings together handmade and industrial production in India, aspiring to keep a human element in the making process.
Made in a limited batch of 150, the Tiipot makes the perfect gift, presented in a box with two exclusive blends of tea created by No 3 Clive Road in New Delhi.
The ‘Green-Tii’ is a blend of Kangra and forest-grown Tulsi (Indian basil) and the ‘Black-Tii’ is a blend of Assam, Kangra and Nilgiri leaves.
