The Girard ornaments is a delightful range of small decorative pendants with seasonal motifs from the 1960s.
On his many travels, Girard was inspired by textiles and folk art from all around the world, an experience which is visible in his own designs. The Girard Ornaments have motifs selected from some of the many images created by the designer.
Alexander Girard was, together with Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson, a leading design figure in post-war America. He brought a sense of playfulness to the otherwise strict aesthetic of classic modernism.
Made of metal with a polished brass effect finish, this dove-shaped ornament can be hung around the home all year, or used as a festive decoration at Christmas time.
