Eames DAW armchair by Charles + Ray Eames for Vitra.
Eames plastic Armchairs were first presented as part of a New York Museum of Modern Art competition, “Low-Cost Furniture Design”. Their organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with various different bases and manufactured in their millions. In their latest version made of polypropylene, the armchairs now offer even greater sitting comfort.

Please note that the new height was introduced in 2015 - raising the seat by 2cm.
Quickship is available for chairs with white or deep black shells on honey-toned ash or golden maple base. Also available with upholstered seat, or upholstered seat and back here.
Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and the Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.

Materials
Four-legged ash or maple base with black metal cross struts. Select from golden maple, black maple, dark maple or honey-toned ash finishes for legs.
Seat in polypropylene available in a range of colours.
Optional seat upholstery in Hopsak fabric. May be ordered with seat upholstered only or shell fully upholstered. Fully upholstered chairs come with a choice of white or black piping. View the pdf in the download section to explore upholstery colours and options.
All chairs come with black glides for carpet as standard.
