Holocene no. 4 is a minimalist representation of a traditional oil lantern with a design focus on form, function and palette. Crucible like in profile, the lantern is made from stainless steel and aluminium. The design features a matt exterior finish and a polished interior finish to reflect and produce indirect light.
Use in a group or singly, the Holocene no. 4 can be used both indoors and outdoors.
John Pawson's design philosophy is all about mass, volume, surface, proportion, junction, geometry, repetition, light and ritual. Born in Yorkshire, in the north of England in 1949, Pawson is known for his minimalist design language.
