Designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1943, the Indochine armchair is a re-working of the iconic LC7 seat; a swivel seat with a tubular metal frame and curved back.
Imagined when Perriand was living in Vietnam, the seat is reflective of the designer’s flexible and resourceful approach to design. Exchanging the metal frame for one made of wood, the choice of materials and crafts techniques are reflective of what was available during that war-time period.
