Knoll

Knoll was founded in 1938 in New York by Hans and Florence Knoll.

They embraced the creative genius at the Bauhaus and the Cranbook Academy of Art to create the philosophy that modern furniture should complement architectural space, not compete with it.

Their commitment to innovation and modern design has yielded a comprehensive portfolio of important office systems, seating, storage, tables, desks and textiles. Their products have been exhibited in major art museums all over the world, with more than 40 pieces in the permanent Design Collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In addition to continually introducing new and innovative designs, Knoll also has many celebrated classics in its catalogue by numerous historically significant design figures including Mies van der Rohe, Eero Saarinen and Harry Bertoia,
