Red dot awards 2015
Founded in 1954, the internationally recognized Red Dot Award seeks to honour excellence in design.
The contemporary furniture series with its sleek rectilinear form, manufactured by Punt, combines wood with aluminium; both dark and light wood finishes are offered, accented with a choice of anodised aluminium sheet tops.
The extensive range is available in a variety of compositions, providing a versatile, modern storage solution for a variety of interior spaces.
Mario Ruiz was born in 1965 and studied Industrial Design at The Elisara School of Design in Barcelona. Soon after graduating in 1995, Ruiz began a professional career in design. The award-winning multidisciplinary designer has since worked across furniture, lighting and product design projects for clients including Punt.
Founded in 1980, Spanish firm Punt, also known as Puntmobles, produce designer furniture for both home and contract use. As well as Mario Ruiz’s Red dot award-winning Stockholm sideboard, notable Punt designs include Terence Woodgate’s Sussex sideboard and Dot cabinet, and Odosdesign’s Mai Tai table.
