For the F.H. Choice 2023, which celebrates modern Danish design, the Egg Chair is available for a limited time in a premium textured fabric with a serene tone and subtle grey hand-sewn leather piping - a combination that gracefully enhances the organic shapes of this design masterpiece.
Conceived in 1958, the Egg Chair originated as part of a commission given to Arne Jacobsen to design every element in Copenhagen's Royal Hotel. This endeavour allowed Jacobsen to actualise his integrated design and architecture theories, with the Egg Chair emerging as a triumph of his total design concept.
Jacobsen strove to find the shell's perfect shape using clay at home in his garage like a sculptor. Because of the unique shape, the Egg guarantees a bit of privacy in otherwise public spaces and – is ideal for lounge and waiting areas as well as the home.

Materials
The base of the Egg chair is fashioned from a satin polished aluminium.
The special edition seat is upholstered in Moss (05) with leather piping.
