Eames DSR side chair with seat upholstery by Charles + Ray Eames for Vitra.
Eames Plastic Side Chair is a contemporary version of the legendary Fiberglass Chair. It was produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art in New York's Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition and was the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
Polypropylene seat shell available with an upholstered seat pad, or with a fully upholstered seat and back. Also available with upholstery here.
The Hopsak cover can be combined with the 14 colours of the seat shell. Together with the base frames, this creates any number of individual possible combinations. On fully upholstered chairs, the upholstery is fixed to the shell with black or white piping.
DSR = Dining Height Side Chair Rod Base.
Herman Miller has the sole license for the Charles and Ray Eames collection in the U.S. and the Far East. Therefore the export of these products from the UK to the U.S. is not possible.

Materials
Dyed-through polypropylene seat shell in 14 colours. The fully upholstered version has moulded polyurethane foam padding covered in fabric, attached to the shell with a welted edge. The fully upholstered version comes with piping in black or white. Please type in your choice while selecting your preferred upholstery fabric.
Non-stacking four-legged wire base with cross struts. The powder-coated version is suitable for outdoor use.
Note: special additives retard the fading of colours due to UV radiation. However, if the chair is exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods, the colour may change over time. We recommend limited exposure to sunlight.
