Tove Kindt-Larsen

Tove Kindt-Larsen (1906-1994) was a well-recognised designer during Denmark's 'Golden Era' in the mid-twentieth century. As a renowned female designer and architect by training, Tove Kindt-Larsen went into furniture design, studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, under the Danish designer great Kaare Klint.

Her furniture design combined high-quality with timeless aesthetics. In her early designs, Tove Kindt-Larsen was a trailblazer for rattan furniture, changing the way room designs were set.

“My mother’s design philosophy was based in nature – she once came home with a peacock feather just to reference its colours. GUBI embodies my mother’s unique blend of daring and grace, making them the perfect partner with whom to bring her Grace Chair to life at last.” Ebbe Kindt-Larsen, Tove Kindt-Larsen's son
