Materials
Care instructions:
To prevent the cast iron from rusting, always dry the mortar and pestle thoroughly after washing. A layer of vegetable oil can be applied to the cast iron at regular intervals to further protect the metal against corrosion.
In the instance of rust developing on this product, simply clean it back to the original metal, apply a layer of vegetable oil, and place in a high-heat oven. Allow to cool before removing. This process will coat and re-season the metal.
