Portsmouth Bench
Portsmouth Bench by Barber Osgerby for Isokon Plus.
The Portsmouth bench was originally designed for the choir stalls in Portsmouth Cathedral. Barber and Osgerby wished to produce a design which was clearly contemporary while complementing the architecture of the Cathedral.
The resulting design is both of its time and entirely sympathetic to its context, capable of seating two to three choir members and light enough to be easily moved. Now established as a contemporary classic, the Portsmouth bench is known for its combination of good design and manufacturing craftsmanship.
This bench may be combined with the Home dining table.
