The Nychair X has been celebrated globally for over forty years due to its practical and lightweight design, which makes it easy to move from one room to another. To honour its success, Nychair has designed a limited-edition version with brown mauve slings and oak armrests, using colours drawn from their 1970s archive.
The original design was created by Takeshi Nii in the 1970s, with a focus on both form and function. Its minimalist silhouette features carefully selected ergonomic dimensions, chosen to enhance comfort, while its foldable and space-efficient design makes it convenient for any space.
The rocking seat displays the same characteristics as the standard chair but has a curved base that rocks back and forth when the weight is shifted.
The limited edition seat features earthy, warm colours, which evoke a sense of returning to nature and seamlessly blend with other vintage furniture. The Dark Mauve Brown sling has a hint of pink, creating a nuanced and warm tone that complements the oak armrests, which display a coarse grain.
The brand tag is embroidered with "Limited edition 2024" to mark the limited design.
