The rubber hot water bottle is encased within a charming merino wool cover, adorned with a subtle grid pattern inspired by Anni Albers’ series of works designed with a typewriter.
Specialising in woven textiles, accessories and home products, Larkin is known for her geometric patterns and pared-back colour palettes. Her designs start as hand-drawn sketches; the scales and patterns are then repeated and played with to create exciting motifs.
The marks made in the initial sketches remain noticeable in the finished fabric, thanks to the Jacquard loom, which allows intricate patterns to be replicated.
