Kettelhut Chair by Finn Juhl for House of Finn Juhl.
Driven by international aspirations during the peak of his career in the 1950s, Finn Juhl sent a watercolour drawing of the formerly named SW 86 Chair, already in production in Denmark, to the American furniture manufacturer Baker Furniture for consideration. The watercolour was eventually gifted to Baker Furniture's former Vice President of Marketing, Mary Ellen Kettelhut.
When Kettelhut presented the watercolour drawing to House of Finn Juhl in 2021, the timeless design was reissued and named in her honour.
The distinctive frame and embracing armrests of the Kettelhut chair deliver a commanding presence, while the upholstered seat and back provide elevated comfort.
