Shakki Blanket
Shakki Blanket by Ida Korsström for Lapuan Kankurit.
Designed by Ida Korsström, the Shakki blanket blends bio-organic cotton with fine South American merino wool woven and finished at Lapuan Kankurit's mill in Lapua, Finland.
For the design, Korsström drew inspiration from the colours and architecture of Florence, where she completed an artist residency in February 2020. These impressions were transformed into a gradient checkerboard pattern, creating an illusion of light and shadow.
