Theia M
Theia M Table Light by Mathias Hahn for Marset.
This handsome table lamp, designed by Mathias Hahn in 2016, was named after the Greek goddess Theia, the mother of the sun, moon, and dawn. It was designed from Hahns desire to create an object that would showcase the beauty of light and our fascination with it.
Theia's design comprises two half-spheres that intersect - one horizontal and the other vertical. This design allows light to be projected, reflected, and absorbed by objects, much like in the natural world.
You can easily adjust the lighting with Theia. Simply swivel the lampshade to uncover the light and use it as a reading light, or cover the bulb to turn it into ambient light.
