Bodil Kjaer is a Danish designer for Carl Hansen & Sons. Born in 1932, she trained as an architect, professor and designer, studying across the globe. Her architectural offices are now based in Copenhagen and London.
Her architecture is marked by an awareness of space, creating interiors which resonate with their users. Throughout her career, she has worked with many institutions, such as Arups, Penguin Books and the Lombardia Government.
Equally, Kjaer's furniture designs were sought by architects for their projects, most famously Marcel Breuer and Harry Weese.
