The idea began when HAY founders Mette and Rolf Hay set out to extend their ethos to outdoor lifestyle, imagining a collection that felt both familiar and fresh, inspired by the nostalgic utility of classic camping equipment. They knew immediately who they hoped would shape it: British designer Jasper Morrison.

Beyond his influential design practice, Morrison’s London shop has become a revered destination, celebrated for its thoughtful curation of simple, practical, and often anonymously designed objects. This sensibility informed the development of a cohesive collection comprising more than 30 pieces, each of which reflects Morrison’s unmistakable approach: purposeful, straightforward, and enduring.

The collection spans lightweight, foldable furniture alongside stainless-steel cooking utensils, brooms meticulously handmade by Japanese artisans, a canopy, hammocks, and other essential outdoor items. 

The striped textiles that feature across the range draw on traditional Basque patterns, inspired by vintage fabric Morrison found at a flea market and reinterpreted in durable 100% recycled polyester.
