UNCLE Acton

UNCLE Acton’s 23rd-floor amenity space, designed by DesignAgency and furnished by twentytwentyone, brings together flexible areas for work, relaxation and socialising within a residential setting.

UNCLE Acton

UNCLE Living’s latest addition to its portfolio of rental developments is Acton, London, set within Zone 2 and around 20 minutes from Central London. With interior design by DesignAgency, the 23rd-floor amenity space is conceived as an extension of the home, bringing together a series of shared environments that support work, relaxation and informal gathering. Completed in 2025, the scheme was delivered by twentytwentyone’s contracts team, with furniture selected to support a highly adaptable spatial layout.

In the larger communal areas, generous workspaces form part of the scheme. At the desks, HÅG Tion 2160 chairs introduce a balance of comfort and ergonomic performance, their upholstered seats set against light blush frames.

This palette continues across the space. Along the perimeter, HAY Arc wall sconces in a deep burgundy tone bring warmth and rhythm, while Pantop portable lamps line the workstations along the window. These tones are echoed in Bruno Rey chairs paired with a smoked oak Arco Kami round table within an adjacent dining setting, and in the upholstery of HAY AAC barstools gathered around the communal kitchen island.

The lounge areas are conceived as more domestic moments within the wider plan. A deep orange rug defines the main seating area, where a Muuto Rest three-seat Sofa in dark green establishes a calm focal point. A Spar floor light from Resident introduces height and a soft, diffused glow, while HAY Chisel lounge chairs, referencing the burgundy palette, offer relaxed seating with a light footprint. A Moebe Shelving system sideboard completes the arrangement, subtly dividing the space.

Elsewhere, the kitchen and dining area is anchored by a tailored Arco Kami oval table, surrounded by Tom Dixon Fat dining chairs upholstered in green velvet. A considered space perfect for casual dining or more elaborate meals. Running parallel, an intimate lounge setting is arranged around a HAY Quilton sofa in textured grey, offering a quieter counterpoint within the open-plan environment.

Back in the main seating area, two Robin Day Chevron armchairs, upholstered in a pale blue fabric and set within solid walnut frames, bring elevated seating. Nearby, Nine Landmark side tables in glossy ceramic grey pick up on these cooler tones.

Across the development, the approach remains consistent: furniture is integrated as part of a broader spatial language, supporting flexibility, comfort and a domestic sensibility within a shared residential setting.
