When Hans Wegner designed the CH162 two-seat and CH163 three-seat sofas, he combined innovative comfort with his characteristic emphasis on making structural elements visible. The CH163 sofa has a solid wood frame and upholstered cushions made of a foam core surrounded by European down and cold foam. Using down in a sofa construction was a brand new idea when the CH163 sofa was designed and enabled Wegner to give outstanding comfort to a fairly geometric shape.

Materials
Solid wood frame available in oak (soaped, clear lacquered, oiled, white oiled) or walnut (clear lacquered or oiled). The seat is made from flame-retardant cold foam CMHR upholstered in fabrics and leathers of the collection. Cushions in European down.
