Influenced by the notion of flexible design, Day designed his first low-cost furniture collection for Hille in 1951. Renamed Daystak, the collection consists of a stacking chair, stacking table and desk designed using durable materials to suit the proportions of the typical home.
The Daystak Desk strengthens the collection's adaptability, extending the functionality of the Daystak Table with the simple addition of wood drawers that can be attached to either side. The drawers feature visible dovetail joinery, showcasing Day's dedication to his craft.
