LeCorbusier Petit Confort LC2 | 1928
Le Corbusier, Petit Confort LC2, 1928
The Petit Confort were designed with Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928 as a modernist interpretation of the traditional club chair. The apparently simple concept of exposing the frame to contain the loose cushions and provide the chair structure was revolutionary.
The design is considered a landmark in furniture design and achieved classic status when the range was relaunched by Cassina in 1965.
Le Corbusier’s career embraced architecture, urban planning, design, writing and painting. He is recognised as one of the pioneers of modern architecture and built throughout Europe, America and India and was highly influential.
The sofa offered is a Cassina production with age-related patina.
