Zenc Pendant
Zenc Pendant Light by Joan Gaspar for Marset.
During a trip to New York, Joan Gaspar noticed a unique feature that constitutes the city’s skyline; the water tanks on top of the rooftops. Using this as his inspiration, Gaspar developed Zenc in 2022, a series of cylindrical pendants complete with a coned roof.
The lights, constructed from rotomoulded bi-layer polyethylene, appear to be made of zinc, a metal traditionally used for storage tanks. The inside is coated in a white layer, creating a contrast, and driving the light to bounce and catch the eye.
It is available in six different calming colours: white, grey, red, sky blue, pale pink and pale yellow.
