Pleat Box Pendant by Xavier Mañosa + Mashallah for Marset.
Utilising ceramic, a pliable material traditionally used for decorative homeware, Xavier Mañosa has created the Pleat Box pendant - a sculptural light with a silhouette resembling a creased piece of cloth.
By combining clay with various enamels, Mañosa has created unique lighting effects. He experimented with two different finishes on the inside of the lamp - a shiny white enamel to intensify the light and a 24-carat gold-plated version to produce a warm glow.
Material, shape and texture all contribute to this unique design, combining the material and its inspiration, the hard fused with the soft, to create a striking contrast.

Materials
The outer part of the lamp is offered in white ceramic, brown, black, terracotta and grey – the result of recycling different enamels.
The brilliant white enamel interior creates a glitter effect, which enhances the light from the lamp.
It can also be supplied in gold on the inside, which generates an extremely warm light.
