Materials
The Mobile Chandelier series is a strongly architectural collection which sees minimal opaline glass globes of varying sizes arranged on a graphic black patinated brass armature.
Mobile Chandelier 7 has two mouth-blown glass globes of different sizes held in asymmetrical balance on a single curved rod.

Michael Anastassiades has trained in Civil Engineering at Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine and has a masters Degree in Industrial Design from the Royal College of Art in London.
After working freelance with various renowned Design practices he set up his own studio in 1994. Since then, he has been exploring contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. Playfully positioned between fine Art and Design his unique, yet discreet work seeks to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction out of what would normally be a series of, inanimate, mundane utilitarian objects.
