Designed by André Ricard in 1970, the Fontana Pendant takes inspiration from the works of artist Lucio Fontana, who is best known for his slashed monochromatic canvases.
The depth and dimension created in Fontana's works are echoed in the shade of the Fontana Pendant, which features a slit around its periphery through which light emits outwards. Light is also diffused through the bottom of the pendant, providing an ambient glow.
