Elephant stool, 1954
Elephant Stool by Sori Yanagi for Vitra.
The Elephant Stool is one of the most famous post-war Japanese designs and is still as convincing as ever with its clear formal idiom and great functionality. Suitable for indoors, balconies and gardens, the stacking stool can even be used as an easy-to-transport picnic stool.
Suitable for outdoor use. Special additives slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the stool exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in a colour change. We recommend not leaving the stool in the sun for longer than necessary.
