Anna von Schewen is a Swedish architect and designer based in Denmark. She completed her education at the Royal Stockholm University of Arts, Crafts, and Design in 1995, where Niels Gammelgaard mentored her, and later established her own studio in 1997.
Recognised for her experimental approach, von Schewen has earned a prominent position as one of Sweden's most innovative designers. Her portfolio spans furniture, objects, exhibition design, interiors, and architecture, with her distinctive style, characterised by a penchant for unconventional materials and techniques, earning her numerous accolades, including the Excellent Swedish Design Award, the EDIDA/Elle Decoration International Design Award, and the prestigious Bruno Mathsson Award.
Anna von Schewen's versatility as a designer is evident in her frequent collaborations, particularly with her husband Bjorn Dahlström . Together, they have worked on various projects, including the revival of the celebrated Pira Shelving system.
